About ExpungeReady
ExpungeReady.com is an independent online directory of attorneys whose public state bar records or self-published practice descriptions indicate they may handle expungement, record sealing, set-aside, or comparable post-conviction relief matters.
What we are
- A free-to-search directory of licensed attorneys, organized by state and city.
- A library of plain-English state guides explaining the basics of expungement and record-sealing law in each covered state.
What we are not
- We are not a law firm. We do not give legal advice or represent clients.
- We are not a lawyer referral service. We do not match users with attorneys, route inquiries to "the next available" attorney, or operate a panel. When you use a contact form on an attorney profile, the message goes to that specific attorney only.
- We are not a lead generator. We do not sell leads, share contact-form submissions with multiple attorneys, or accept referral fees.
How profiles are built
Profiles are built from publicly available state bar member directories, public court records, and the attorney's own published web presence. License status, admission date, and public disciplinary information shown on a profile reflect the most recent sync from public bar data and may not reflect changes made since. Always confirm current status with the state bar before retaining counsel.
How we make money
Attorneys may, at their option, claim and enhance their own listing under a paid subscription that improves placement, allows the attorney to add a biography, photo, and verified contact details, and removes the "unclaimed" label. Paid listings are clearly marked as such. The selection of attorneys in the directory and the underlying data are not determined or influenced by whether an attorney pays for an enhanced listing.
Editorial independence
Guide content is written by ExpungeReady staff and is not paid for or edited by any attorney. Attorneys cannot pay to be featured in guide content.
Attorneys: claim or remove a listing
To claim your profile, follow the "Claim this profile" link on your listing. To request removal, email legal@expungeready.com from an email associated with your bar record.
